In this project, we leveraged the Sunfounder PiCar X, an open source hardware/software development platform to explore autonomous driving capabilities through advanced virtual simulations utilizing the Donkey Car simulator and CARLA simulators. The self-driving robot car is controlled busing a Raspberry Pi platform and integrated sensors including a camera module, ultrasonic sensors, speaker, text-to-speech conversion, etc , enabling objects Recognition, obstacle avoidance, cliff detection, line tracking, traffic signal detection, face recognition and gesture recognition .
